4 Essential Keys to Successful Ezine Publishing: Persistence
By: Patsi Krakoff, Psy. D.
Category: Ezine Publishing
Let’s break ezines down to four simple components to help you get a clear picture of what is involved. Every thing you have to do to create an ezine falls within four of these important steps.
1. Content: Give away valuable information
2. Formatting: Make your ezine looks nice and is easy to read
3. Distribution: Send it out electronically, easily and efficiently
4. List Building: Constantly work on growing your subscriber list
In the previous three articles we covered content, formatting, distribution, and building your subscriber list. Now let’s tackle that last important task for a successful e-newsletter: staying the course.
Persistence
This part of ezine publishing is very important. Maybe there are more than just four components of publishing a successful ezine. This could be the fifth element necessary if you want to really get results from your ezine.
There’s just one more thing… Persistence
This fifth and last essential element has to do more with your heart than your head:
- You have to believe that what you have to say is important to your readers
- You have to truly know your message can improve their work or personal lives
- You have to believe in abundance, that if you give away valuable information, it will come back to you in many ways
- You have to want to help people, and know when you do, your business will thrive
- You have to be willing to do the grunt work (some tasks won’t be fun, some will be)
- You have to be willing to persist, even when it may seem that the results aren’t coming in (this is not a one-time event; results happen over time)
I could tell you to just do an ezine and sit back and watch the email replies come back; listen for the “ka-ching!” going off in your shopping cart. I could tell you this is so easy that all you have to do is buy my ebook and ezine publishing system, and ba-da-bing, presto, you will be a client magnet.
But I have to be honest and tell you publishing an ezine requires some work. Are you willing to do this work?
The truth is publishing an ezine takes work, and persistence. There is magic, but only if you do it right. With a little bit of learning and practice you can get it right the first time.
You don’t have to make all the silly mistakes I did over the years. You can get your ezine up and running in no time, and build a list of well-qualified readers who want to buy what you have to offer. If you do it right, this can happen for you sooner rather than later.

4. List Building: Constantly work on growing your subscriber list
In the previous two articles,we covered content, formatting, and distribution. Now let’s tackle that most important task for a successful e-newsletter: List building and Persistence.
Getting Subscribers & List Building
You don’t need to have a huge list to be successful. In fact, every one starts pretty close to zero. Start with the people you know, and then acquire important list building habits so each week you get new names and email addresses added to your list.
It’s not about numbers; it’s about targeted, qualified potential customers. You only want people on your list who are interested in what you have to offer. The more targeted your content and your offers, the more qualified people you will attract to your list.
For this to happen, you need to follow certain steps to make it easy and attractive for people to sign up.
This isn’t rocket science, but you do need to be diligent about this; otherwise, your list will not grow.
You have to make a compelling offer and give people a bonus or a bribe (an ethical one, but a bribe all the same!).
Do you already know how to do this? If not, you can learn.
What insider information do you have that readers would love to get their hands on? How often do you see a ho-hum subscription form on web pages that says, “Sign Up Here for My Free Ezine!” Yawn. (“Oh boy, just what I need, another ezine.”)
What if you put something like this on your sign-up page: “Would you like to know 10 mistakes you’re making on your website that your web guy isn’t telling you? We’ll send you this recently released report AND weekly tips to help your website get results.” Then, your sign up form would say, “Send me the Insider Report!”
Your sign-up page has to be clear about two things:
1. What will I get if I sign up?
2. Why do I need this?
You need to write a 15-word invitation for people to sign up for your newsletter that includes those two things. A great invitation makes it sound like if I don’t sign up for this thing, I will be missing something that I need for my business or my life.
You need to learn how to build a subscriber list that stays subscribed and grows every week.

1. Content: Give away valuable information
2. Formatting: Make your ezine looks nice and is easy to read
3. Distribution: Send it out electronically, easily and efficiently
4. List Building: Constantly work on growing your subscriber list
In the first article, we discussed the importance of content, and how content should be 80% informational, and 20% call to action for promoting your business with products or services.
Formatting
You want your ezine to reflect the professionalism and image you have already created for your business. Formatting an ezine can be as simple as putting it into plain text or more sophisticated with HTML, custom-designed templates. You can do it yourself, or hire someone to create the template for you.
Either way, you need to decide which is best for you and your readers, then figure out a way that is effective for you to use, considering time and costs.
Distribution
Sending out your ezine should be fast and easy’; it should have reliable delivery rates and most importantly, it must be spam-law compliant. If you are using a professional email distribution service, you won’t have to worry so much about the details.
There are many on the market, and several of them are cost-efficient and reputable. But there is only one that stands out ahead of the crowd. We recommend using it right from the start, when you begin your ezine. It will save you time, money, energy later on when your list becomes really big.
We call this service the “best darn system on the planet!” The service is Kick Start Cart. It has many features, and is best known as a shopping cart or e-commerce marketing system. When you use it for sending out your newsletters, it works like a charm.
Don’t wait until your list gets big. Start right at the very beginning. You will save yourself the hassles of switching over your list of subscribers later on.
Once you have decided on a template for formatting your ezine, and have set up the email distribution system to deliver it, you must turn your attention to list building.
Your email service provider will generate code you can put on your website for capturing the names and email addresses of people who sign up to subscribe to your ezine.

Content
Content is King AND Queen on the Web. It doesn’t matter what kind of business you are in. Banner advertising doesn’t work. In fact, advertising on the Internet is done best through content. It’s called “marketing with content” and it is the best proven method for attracting clients to your business.
Your ezine is the best way to send out content. You have to make it useful and interesting, so people will stay subscribed to your list.
- If you are an executive coach or a business consultant, you can write about leadership development, motivation, dealing with difficult people, or strategic planning ideas.
- If you are a health professional, you can tell us about eating and exercising healthily.
- If you are selling a product, you can give readers tips about how they can save time and energy within the particular field you are in. If you sell a hammer, for example, give household repair tips.
Don’t worry about “giving away the store.” A plumber can reveal all the plumbing secrets in the world and chances are when there’s a leaky faucet, people are going to call a plumber anyway.
Don’t worry if you aren’t a good writer. You can find inexpensive ghostwriters on the Web, and you can publish other people’s content as long as you give them credit. You can also interview other experts, and publish answers to 5-6 questions. It is that easy.
You should also include a call to action in your ezine, otherwise, people have no way of responding to you, and you are just giving away free information. You can use at least 20% of your ezine for such items in order to sell your products and services:
- Promotional announcements (ebooks, teleseminars, workshops, consulting, etc.)
- Advertising for your business, or even for an affiliate business for which you get a commission
- Case studies – these illustrate how you work with clients
- Success stories – these really spell out the results clients get when they work with you
- Testimonials – what a great way for readers to hear about how good you really are!
The key is to provide 80% informational content that is interesting and useful, and a smaller portion about how clients can use you.

8 Secrets of Successful Internet Marketers
By: Jo Mark
Category: Ecommerce
In any business, there are a few individuals that excel to super star levels and make millions upon millions of dollars. And likewise, there are some who struggle for years and make little if any money at all. The rest of us are somewhere in the middle ground between the two.
Regardless of what business you are in, you should try to emulate the super stars. Try to do what they do. I’m not saying that you will immediately vault up to super star status, but your results will almost certainly improve.
Some of the characteristics of the Internet super stars are as follows:
1) They are diversified and participate in more than one niche. If an opportunity presents itself, they can swiftly change gears and exploit an additional area.
2) They pay talented people to take care of the details on their numerous websites. They pay others to take care of the more mundane day-to-day issues. This frees up their time to work on items that they believe to be more important, like developing new products.
3) They stay in constant touch with the people on their list. They act as a trusted adviser who wouldn’t steer them wrong. They do not pitch every new product that comes down the pike.
4) They nurture their list; it is their most valuable asset. They work daily on activities to continually expand it.
5) They develop and sell their own products. When appropriate, they allow others to sell them on an affiliate basis.
6) They take advantage of every possible method in monetizing the Internet and their websites. They use all types of advertising income and any other income sources available.
7) They continually work to build traffic to their websites. By growing their traffic today, they are insuring an increase in income tomorrow.
They develop and sell their own products. When appropriate, they allow others to sell them on an affiliate basis. It is generally agreed that the number one method to be successful is to develop your own product. You must have your own products in order to excel.
By working daily toward these goals, you too have an opportunity to grow your Internet business. For the most part, those who have achieved the most success have done it by working the hardest. Very few, if any, have inherited successful websites from their parents, most have worked very hard and earned every penny they have. So imitate the superstars and someday, people new in the business may try to imitate you.

Email Marketing Is Advantageous In The Following Ways
By: Terry Detty
Category: Ebooks
Email marketing is a wonderful way to reach large amounts of customers in a short amount of time. This is a very inexpensive marketing method that is effective. It will result in getting more traffic to your website thus generating more sales. Email marketing can be used by any type of business regardless of the products or services they have to offer. One huge advantage of email marketing is that it can be effective for both large and small businesses. When it comes to regular commerce, the larger company can afford to print up colorful fliers and ads. This is much harder for smaller businesses due to the expense. Email marketing can be done using software so that even small businesses can create effective and professional looking email marketing campaigns on a small budget. This will hopefully help them increase their sales. Email marketing is an effective way to deliver the information you want to get to consumers in the method they enjoy using. Most everyone has email these days and it is common to log on and check for messages several times each day. It also allows you the opportunity to reach consumers around the globe. There are no boundaries when it comes to location with this method of marketing. On average email marketing costs 78% less than other types of marketing. This savings is after the cost of research, testing, and sending the emails. It also takes the cost of consulting into consideration. Email marketing consulting is often less expensive than other marketing consultants. This means you can choose to save money or maybe invest more but reach more people. In addition to saving money, you save valuable time. Your emails can be scheduled to go out at times when you are out of the office or working on other projects. To appeal to your consumers, email marketing allows you to use graphics, games, music, videos, and other types of materials to gain their interest. This is something most other marketing concepts don’t allow. Sure, they offer one or two choices but it seems like everything is possible with email marketing concepts. Since you have the name and purchasing history of the individual, you can personalize the email. This makes the customer feel more trusting towards you as well as more loyal to the company. It is much better than getting a piece of mail at home that says dear customer. You will be able to create marketing lists that allow you to send a marketing campaign only to a target market. This is a very effective way of sending different campaigns to different customers. The process of email marketing gives you tools for measuring the successful of the marketing campaign. You can measure the click through rate, conversion rate, find out how a person linked to your website, and many more ways of analyzing data. Customers can choose to opt out by clicking the link in your email marketing campaign. This saves you money by knowing who isn’t interested in receiving your information. There is no way to know that with other types of marketing campaigns. For those who are interested in your email marketing campaign, you will see the responses quickly. This is a great way of knowing what is effective for future marketing endeavors. With the volumes of consumers on the internet everyday it only makes sense to use it from a business point of view. Email marketing is a great opportunity to communicate with your customers. This is an effective way to be able to analyze your marketing tools so you will know what is working and what areas you need to continue improving.

How to Start Making Money on the Internet
By: Jo Mark
Category: Ebooks
Like everyone else, I struggled in the beginning as I stated my Internet business. After two months, I still hadn’t made any real money. During that time, I think I made less than $2.00 in Adsense revenue. Hardly enough to live on!
At about that time I did a thorough analysis of my Internet business. I closely examined what I was doing and what I needed to change in order to be successful. After a thorough assessment, I put those changes into effect.
I got rid of my free autoresponder and signed up for the paid version. Too many of my emails were ending up in my prospects’ junk/bulk email boxes. This led to an immediate improvement in my email response rates. Obviously, my emails were now getting through to inboxes.
I bought a domain name and arranged for quality hosting. This resulted in an immediate improvement in the number of clicks that my articles were achieving.
I initiated a few pre-sell pages and noticed my affiliate sales began to inch higher. But still, I wasn’t earning a substantial amount of money.
I determined that I needed one more critical item to jump-start my income. I needed my own product. Over the course of the next month, I developed my own Ebook, sales page, and ad campaign. I advertised my Ebook using four paid ads (at ten dollars each), free ezine ads, and my articles.
During my first full month marketing my own product, I made almost $400. I re-invested half of the proceeds into additional ads and I made $1,200 in my second full month.
At that point, I realized that I could indeed make a very nice living on the Internet marketing my own products. I immediately set to work on my second Ebook and from that point, my income moved steadily higher.
If you want to be successful, and make a living on the Internet, develop our own product. There are numerous advantages to having your own product. You are in complete control. You receive 100% of the proceeds of your sales. You determine the price and can change it at will. And, best of all, you can enlist others to help sell your product through affiliate programs. Success is right around the corner if you develop your own product.
If you are ready to turn that corner of success, you can develop your own product with “Create Your Own Ebook in 3 Easy Steps”. Video Marketing Concepts

Category: Audio Video Streaming
Video communication is an excellent way for internet marketers to reach their prospective customers and present their products or services. The use of videos on the Internet marketing scene brings a lot of advantages and provides a great solution because of its impact on the visitor and its ability to combine the advantages of “classic” TV advertising with the interactivity offered by the Internet.
There are a few video marketing concepts that you should keep in mind when creating your video marketing campaign and these are:
1. The videos that you create should fit with your brand and should be able to connect with your target market. A lot of marketers had to deal with huge losses because their message didn’t appeal to their target market.
2. You should know your target market properly and your videos should be made in a way so as to appeal to your target market and capture their attention.
3. It is a known fact now that Google is favouring videos and is giving high rankings to videos. A very good approach would be to use meta tags for the content (text) of the page where your video is placed. Using keywords in the video titles and their descriptions could even help you to gain search engine rankings for your videos. Even Video search engines will find it much easier to index your video files and link it to your web pages. Use anchor text for you videos if you are linking to it from other pages of your Web site
4. A video ad can contain a demonstration of a product’s use and usability. Using a human face and a very pleasant voice is a very good strategy and you can have your prospects dying to buy your products. By using these techniques, the prospective customer can relate more to your company and to what you’re promoting.
5. One of the greatest benefits of video marketing is that videos can be played on demand and you should make sure to let people download your videos so that they are able to view it even when they are not connected to the internet.
Now I have told you about some of the most important video marketing concepts, you can get this free dvd to gain maximum benefits from your video marketing campaigns.

Internet Video Marketing
By: Russell Brunson
Category: Audio Video Streaming
Everyone who is not living in a cave must have heard about
Internet Video Marketing and I can assure you that this is not one of the
latest Fads, which keep appearing on the Internet scene every week.
Video marketing is here to stay and the success of Pipeline
Profits venture by Brock Felt and Buck Rizvi has proved this as a fact. Brock
& Buck were relatively unknown marketers who suddenly appeared in the
Internet marketing scene and used Internet Video Marketing in their campaigns,
with great Success. They used videos from the Stompernet event and captured the
attention of a large number of audiences. The people who came to view these
videos were then given attractive incentives to subscribe to their mailing
lists, which became quite large in a very short period of time.
Then there are some other well-known marketers who have used
Internet video marketing to reap huge profits. Some of these big name marketers
are John Reese, Joel Comm and Michael Cheney.
I still remember how Joel Comm used Google videos to create
awareness about his Adsense Template Packages and Michael Cheney started his
Cheney’s Marketing News. Michael was clever enough to make it viral by allowing
his videos to be placed on any site around the web and thus generated a large
number of links pointing to his site
There are some other people who have started sending video
mails to their customers. In this way they were able to capture the attention
of their customers who had become immune to text mails. Receiving video mails
is so intriguing that it makes a person curious and thus he is forced to open
up his mail and see what it contains. Thus the marketer is able to get his
message to the customer while the customer is happy because he got something,
which was pleasing and appealed to him.
Internet marketers have started to understand the power
of “Internet Video Marketing ” and thus
a large number of services and courses are coming up which promise to help
marketers in their video marketing campaigns. These services offer to create
professional videos for these marketers and help them gain maximum benefits
from their video marketing campaigns.
Internet Marketers who are still unable to grasp the power
and uses of Internet Video Marketing, now have access to courses which help
them to understand and apply Video marketing to their online business and thus
be able to compete with other marketers who have already started using this as
part of their marketing campaigns.
The message hre is that, you can either educate
yourself and start using Internet Video Marketing in your campaigns or get left
behind by your competitors. If you want more internet marketing information, get this free dvd.

Viral Video Marketing
By: Russell Brunson
Category: Audio Video Streaming
Viral video marketing is often chosen as a way to promote a
site because it is quite easy to accomplish when compared to other mediums such
as direct mailing or search engine marketing. Viral Video Marketing also costs
less than direct mailing or pay per click marketing.
The only thing that one
needs to do is to create the Initial Buzz, which is a little difficult and
requires some creativity. Viral Video marketing helps in attracting a target
audience, and is known for establishing a response rate that is high and fast
because the message is passed on to others by the customers who liked those
videos.
Here are some tips which could help you in your Viral Video
Marketing Campaigns:
1. Allow your videos to be used by people on their web
sites. This will help you to gain a lot of links pointing to your website thus
increasing your link popularity and Brand Recognition. This technique even
helps you to reach a much much wider audience than you could have ever done by
yourself.
2. Put an element of humour or surprise in it so that people would love to
show the video to their friends and thus make it viral. I myself have forward
some video ads to my friends because the ads were so funny. I came to know
later that even my friends had sent these videos to their friends thus making
it viral. Can you imagine the power of this? If you are able to create this
sort of viral aspect in your videos then you are sitting on a potential gold
mine. Although this sounds exciting, it requires a lot of time, effort and
creativity to make your videos compelling, entertaining or at least different
in order to rise above the noise and be passed on to others. No one wants to
put a boring and low quality video on their site
3. Creating a blog on a website and adding lots of videos
and images continuously is a very popular way of creating a viral video
marketing campaign. This technique has been used by a lot of video game
marketers with amazing success and helps to create brand awareness and keeps
the audiences hungry for more information on these topics.
You can use this free dvd to apply these tips and more to your Viral Video
Marketing campaigns, your business will grow by leaps and bounds and you will
be able to compete with some of the big name marketers.
